Giardini di Augusto can be reached in 6 minutes walking from the Piazzetta along Via Vittorio Emanuele, Via Federico Serena and continuing along Via Matteotti.

Villa Lysis can be reached in 45 minutes walking from the Piazzetta di Capri. The walk is uphill and comfortable shoes are recommended. It is not accessible by any means of transport.

The concession fee is related to the use of the spaces only, which must then be returned in perfect condition of order and cleanliness, and to cover the utilities; everything relating to decorations, fittings, any additional electrical equipment are charged to the contracting party.

At the expense of the contracting party and under his exclusive responsibility is also the entire part of the authorization relating to the activities that will be linked to the event (transit permits, SIAE licenses, permission for use of drones, etc…).

The visit costs 2.50 € for each site as established by the Municipal Council Resolution nr. 167/2022 available here.

Yes, you can buy the tickets using the ticketing machines on both tourist sites, but for a better use of the visit it is always better to buy tickets in advance online here to avoid long queues in the sun or in the rain.

It is possible to grant the use of Villa Lysis to third parties in the following cases, provided for by the Municipal Council Resolution nr. 73/2020 available here, which are:

• Photographic and cinematographic services with non-exclusive use;
• Exhibitions with free admission;
• Events, events for exclusive and non-exclusive use such as symbolic and civil weddings.

The use of Villa Lysis is granted in non-exclusive use, therefore it must be open to the public.

For cultural documents that will be distributed free of charge there is no cost; for commercial and/or advertising documents the cost is 3,000.00 € (over 22% VAT).

There is no cost for the realization of exhibitions; however, it must be produced a letter of indemnity for the exhibited works at the competent municipal office AA.GG. and Secretariat.

For the performance of the ceremony alone, of the duration of maximum two hours, which consists in the vows of the spouses with a small toast with the Villa open to the public, the fee is the same as for civil rites outside the municipal house and which is currently fixed at € 1,500.00 (plus VAT if due).

The daily fee is € 25,000.00 (over 22% VAT) with a reduction of 30% in case of use for more than one day (the days of preparation and dismantling are counted regularly).

It means the closure of the Villa to the public and the possibility of carrying out private and/ or commercial events, including both civil and symbolic weddings and subsequent celebrations.

Yes, a policy must be produced to the Agency to cover any damage to people and/or property.

Yes, an inspection is mandatory before signing the exclusive use of the Villa. We do not have information on capacity, structure, use of space as the primary use of the Villa is cultural. In cases where events and/or weddings have taken place, everything is left to the organizer who will decide on the basis of the inspection carried out.

The Villa does not have much furniture except for some seats and information stands that can only be moved under the supervision and following the instructions given by the site staff.
It is forbidden, however, to move the piano placed in the main hall inside or outside the Villa. It should be left exactly where it is to prevent damage to the instrument.

Yes, you can request a guided tour through two procedures:

If you are a group of maximum 10 people just ask one of the staff at Villa Lysis, who will be happy to guide guests through history and architecture.

If you are a group of more than 10 people, you should send a booking email to villalysiscapri@gmail.com 48h before the visit.
